Lengenwang

Lengenwang is a municipality in the Swabian district Ostallgaeu and a member of the administrative community Seeg.

Geography

Lengenwang lies in the Allgäu region. The community consists of 15 officially designated community parts: Albisried, Aleuthen, Außerlengenwang, Bichel, Enisried, Frödenberg, Henn exuberance, Lengenwang, Luttenried, Pflaubaumen, Reuthe, Ried, Sigratsbold, displacement and ( since 8 February 2001 previously part of Ried) Bethlehem. Until 1879, the community was part of the district of Füssen and then to the district reform in 1972, the southernmost municipality of the former county market Oberndorf. History

Lengenwang belonged to the Barons von Freyberg and the Bishopric of Augsburg. The rights of the various entities were mixed strong here and fell at different times of Bavaria in 1803 by the Bishopric, 1805 by Austria ( for Hohenfreyberg ), 1806 by the Barons von Freyberg.
