FSV Gütersloh 2009

The FSV Gütersloh 2009 (full name: women's sports club Gütersloh 2009 eV) is a women's football club based in Gütersloh. The club originated from the Department of Women's and girls' football of FC Gütersloh 2000. The first team took over from the 2009/10 season the place in the 2nd Bundesliga Nord and played in the 2012/13 season in the Bundesliga.

History

FC Gütersloh / FC Gütersloh 2000

In 1984, the then FC Gütersloh founded a department for women's football. 2001 was the team champion of the League Association Westphalia and rose to the then second-rate Regionalliga West. After a seventh place in the first season the team was champion in 2003 and reached the promotion round to the Bundesliga. There, however, the Gütersloher interior occupied the last place. As a third in the 2003/04 season, the club qualified for the newly introduced second Bundesliga and the North squadron was assigned.

Stadium

The FSV plays its home games in the arena of Tönnies on the premises of the TönniesFleisch plant in Rheda. Tönnies is the main sponsor of the FSV Gütersloh.
