Gene Reynolds

Gene Reynolds ( born April 4, 1923 in Cleveland, Ohio; actually Eugene Reynolds Blumenthal ) is an American actor, screenwriter, television director and television producer, best known for his work on the series M * A * S * H. As an actor, he was one of the many child stars of the 1930s.

Life

Gene Reynolds was born in April 1923 in Cleveland. As a child he played from the 30s with in several feature films, retired as a film actor in 1956 when television actor in 1967 by the canvas. Since then, he had not been an actor before the camera. His most famous role he has played in a movie, is that of Jason Brown in the movie Land of the wicked.

Instead, Reynolds is now launching a career in American television, which gave him the opportunity to act as a producer, director and writer of countless series, series episodes and TV movies. His most important work was the series M * A * S * H, which received cult status later. There, he excelled as a producer and director of many episodes responsible. For his work at Mash 1974 he received an Emmy Award as a producer.

From 1993 to 1997 he was president of the Directors Guild of America, the Association of Directors of the United States.

Gene Reynolds was married twice and has one son.
