Mark Sandrich

Mark Sandrich ( born August 26, 1900 in New York City; † March 4, 1945 in Hollywood) was an American film director.

Life

Mark Sandrich began as a film director in Hollywood yet at the time of silent films. His first short film comedy he turned 1926. At the beginning of the sound film he was one of the leading directors of musical comedies, which he produced for RKO Pictures. Of the nine famous dance movies with Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers alone he turned five. The most famous dance is I am in your heart in his last film, he turned from the years 1935 1945. Blues skies with Fred Astaire and Bing Crosby. He died during filming during a card game with his wife, of a heart attack. The shooting continued with director Stuart Heisler.
