Gerard Brady

Gerard Brady ( born July 1, 1936) is an Irish politician. He sat from 1977 to 1992 in Dáil Éireann, the lower house of the Irish Parliament.

Brady was selected in 1977 for Fianna Fáil in the 21st Dáil Éireann. He here took over from his father Philip A. Brady, apart from a brief interruption since 1951 in the Dáil Éireann sat and was no longer competed for health reasons for choice. Gerard Brady was re-elected five times.

During the 23 Dáil he was from 23 March to 27 October 1982 Minister of State at the Ministry of Environment. After Brady was education minister, his predecessor Martin O'Donoghue resigned on 6 October, and held this office from 27 October to 14 December 1982.
