Glossary of poker terms

Poker terms are different more or less common, unofficial designations for specific game situations, starting hands, card combinations and characteristics of the players at the poker game. Since poker in the United States developed rapidly in the 19th century, most expressions of the English language originate and flowed about the film and other media in the language of other nations.

Below is a list of what expressions stand for what card or combination of cards. Here is the letter abbreviation of the card names are used. T stands for 10 (English Ten), J for Jack (English Jack ) and Q for lady (English Queen). The word offsuit or unsuited (about not fitting ) means two cards of different colors, while the expression suited ( as appropriate) means two cards of the same color.
