Geographical location
The community lies in the Westerwald between Koblenz and Gießen on the edge of the Nassau nature park, and is bordered by the State of Hesse.
History
Goergeshausen 1290 was mentioned as Gerinzhausen for the first time in a document.

Coat of arms
Coat Explanation: The middle part of the local coat of arms symbolizes the so-called Lion's Arch, a landmark that formerly indicated the boundary between the kurtrierischen place Goergeshausen and the Nassau -Diez belonging area. The two linden branches symbolize the earlier standing on the church hill in the middle of the village of Linden.
