Sims village, Polish Gostomia, is a town in Upper Silesia. Sims village located in the municipality Zülz ( Biała) in the powiat Prudnicki in Polish Opole Voivodeship.

Geographical Location

Sims village is located six kilometers east of the parish seat Zülz, 14 kilometers northeast of the county town of Prudnik ( Neustadt OS) and 34 kilometers southwest of the voivodship Opole.

Neighboring towns of Sims village in the north are Ziabnik ( Zabnik ), in the northeast Neudorf ( Nowa Wies Prudnicka ), in the south Rosenberg ( Rostkowice ) and in the southwest Altzülz ( Solec ).

History

The town was first mentioned in 1233 as " Gostoma ". 1335 for the first time a church in ledge village was mentioned in documents.

In the plebiscite in Upper Silesia on March 20, 1921 426 voters voted to remain in Germany and 107 for Poland. Sims village remained with the German Reich. 1933 lived 604 inhabitants in the village. 1939, the place had 598 inhabitants. By 1945, the place was in the district of Neustadt OS.

In 1945 the previously German place under Polish administration and renamed Gostomia and joined the Silesian Voivodeship. In 1950, the city came to Opole Voivodeship. In 1999 the place to powiat Prudnicki. On 6 March 2006 the German Sims village was in the parish Zülz, plays, introduced as a second official language. 2008, the City also received the official German place names Sims village.
