Gremersdorf

Gremersdorf is a municipality in the district of East Holstein in Schleswig -Holstein. The municipality is bordered by the north by the town's patron saint harbor, to the east of the town of Neukirchen in the south of the city of Oldenburg in Holstein and the north west of the Baltic Sea. In the municipality there are 13 villages and four goods. In its present form, the community has existed since 1968. Villages Dazendorf, Neuratjensdorf, Sulsdorf and Tesch village and the district Altgalendorf lie in the municipality.

History

The name is derived from Gremersdorf Gremerstorpe. This means village of Grimhari, Grimheri, Grimher, Grimer. Gremersdorf was sold in 1377 by the six brothers v. Siggen the Council of the City of Kiel for the benefit of the Holy Ghost and St. Jürgen Hospitals. At the beginning of the following century, the village had eight hooves.

Tesch village was the most northerly of the chapter villages of the Lübeck Cathedral Chapter.

Good Seegalendorf

Good Seegalendorf was founded in the late 16th century. The estate was, like the Good Putlos to which it belonged at first, in the possession of the Rantzau family, from the mid-18th century in the possession of the family of Rumohr. The mansion was built in the late 18th century. The original main building was a single storey timber-framed building, joined to the two cavaliers' wing of red brick. While the Cavalier wing still stand today, the manor was in 1839 replaced by a late-classical building.

The Good Seegalendorf is now used for agriculture and operates a Shetland pony breeding.

Economy

The municipal area is dominated by agriculture, with the canola and wheat cultivation predominates. However, there are some small businesses.

In the municipality there are two wind farms.

Road

Gremersdorf located on the A 1 Up to Fehmarnsundbrücke there are in the course of A 1 and B 207 is approximately 15 km. Along this road passes the European route 47 and the " bird flight line ", which reached around 28 km away from the ferry terminal Puttgarden on Fehmarn with a ferry to Denmark.

Policy

Of the 13 seats in the municipal council, the CDU has been the local elections 2008 ten seats and the three SPD.
