Description

Unlike its 1984 predecessor album that Roger Hodgson alone had recorded or played most of the instruments, he invited for the recording of " Hai Hai " over 20 studio musicians, including the Toto musicians David Paich, Jeff Porcaro and Steve Porcaro.

As on the previous album, play on " Hai Hai " for the Supertramp typical instruments ( eg, sax ) only a minor role. Complete placing the plate contains a fusion of Supertramp's progressive pop-rock style of the 1970s and early 1980s, and the synthesizer technology of the late 1980s. All songs were composed by Hodgson, texted and sung vocals.

Critics are often referred to as the best songs on the album "London", an ode to the often rainy British capital from living in the remote California Hodgson, "Desert Love" and " Puppet Dance". A pretty rockin ' song "My Magazine". From 1974, when Roger with Supertramp recording the album "Crime of the Century ," comes " Land Ho ".

In the week of the album release Hodgson's career was cut short by an accident: he fell in his California estate of an attic and broke both wrists. Therefore, he could not go on tour.
