Hans von Blixen-Finecke, Jr.

Hans Gustaf Nils Fredrik Bror Blixen - Finecke ( born July 20, 1916 in Linköping, † 16 February 2005 in Marie Fred ) was a Swedish event rider and officer. He was the son of Hans von Blixen - Finecke Sr. and nephew of Bror Blixen - Finecke.

After passing the exam, he joined the cavalry aspirants school, after which he studied at the Military Academy Karlberg. In 1937, he was in 1946 promoted to lieutenant in the cavalry to cavalry captain. Subsequently, he was from 1950 adjutant in the army riding school in Strömsholms. From 1957 he was a Major.

As equestrians Blixen Finecke was a member of the Swedish team that won the gold medal in Helsinki in the eventing team standings at the Summer Olympics in 1952. With his horse Jubal he also won the individual competition. Four years later she appeared in Stockholm again ( due to strict quarantine regulations were riding competitions are not held in Melbourne) and reached 24th place in the individual standings. The Swedish team was unable to finish the competition.

Hans von Blixen - Finecke worked as a trainer in the UK, the USA and Australia, and has published several books on the subject of riding.
