Hellen Kimaiyo

Hellen Kimaiyo Kipkoskei ( born September 8, 1968 in Moiben, Rift Valley Province) is a former Kenyan long-distance runner.

At 15, she started at the 1984 Olympic Games in Los Angeles about 3000 m, but different in the run- off.

The following year she won the 1985 Gold 3000 m and 1500 m bronze at the European Athletics Championships Africa. The Pan-African Games 1987 silver followed over 3000 m and at the Track Championships Africa 1989 in Lagos Gold and Silver 3000 m above 1500 m. In 1992, she was at the Olympics in Barcelona ninth in the 10,000 m.

Three times in a row, she was at the World Cross Country Championships part of the winning Kenyan team: 1992 Eleventh and 1993 and 1994 as the twelfth.

In the 1990s, she was also successful in road races. She presented at the 1993 Corrida Internacional São Silvestre the current course record and won from 1993 to 1995 three times in a row, the Dam tot Damloop. She also won the New Year's run Trier in 1991 and the Zevenheuvelenloop 1995. 1995, she finished fourth in the Route du Vin, 1997 Tenth London Marathon, 1998 Third at the Los Angeles Marathon and fourth at the Amsterdam Marathon and 2000 third party at the Rock 'n 'Roll Marathon and Eleventh at the New York City Marathon.
