Geography
The community lies in the Westerwald between Siegen and Limburg.

History
Hellenhahn was first mentioned as Hildenhagen in records in 1062. The 220- years younger place Schellenberg were united on the orders of Duke Wilhelm of Nassau 1831 Hellenhahn. Since that time, ie the municipality Light -Schellenberg.
