Herning Municipality

Herning is a municipality in Jutland, Denmark. It was created on 1 January 2007 as part of local government reform by combining the "old" Herning with the previous municipalities Aulum - Haderup, Trehøje and Aaskov.

Herning Municipality has a total population of 86 595 inhabitants (as of 1 January 2013) and an area of ​​1321.10 km ². It is part of Jutland region. The seat of government is in Herning.
