Odder Municipality

Odder Kommune is a Danish community in the Region Midtjylland. It extends over an area of ​​223.70 km ² and has 21,800 inhabitants ( 1 January 2013). The seat of government is in Odder.

Odder municipality was formed in the course of administrative reform of 1970 by the union of the following municipalities:

  • Rural community Alrø ( parish Alrø )
  • Rural community Gosmer - Halling ( parishes Gosmer and Halling )
  • Rural community Gylling ( parish Gylling )
  • Rural community Hundslund ( parish Hundslund )
  • Rural community Odder ( parishes Odder and Torrild )
  • Rural community Randlev - Bjergager ( parishes Randlev and Bjerager )
  • Rural community Saksild - Nølev ( parishes Saksild and Nølev )
  • Rural community Tunø ( parish Tunø )
  • Rural community Ørting - Falling ( parishes Ørting and Falling)

In the recent administrative reform of 2007, the Odder municipality was preserved in its entirety.
