Odder Municipality
Odder Kommune is a Danish community in the Region Midtjylland. It extends over an area of 223.70 km ² and has 21,800 inhabitants ( 1 January 2013). The seat of government is in Odder.
Odder municipality was formed in the course of administrative reform of 1970 by the union of the following municipalities:
- Rural community Alrø ( parish Alrø )
- Rural community Gosmer - Halling ( parishes Gosmer and Halling )
- Rural community Gylling ( parish Gylling )
- Rural community Hundslund ( parish Hundslund )
- Rural community Odder ( parishes Odder and Torrild )
- Rural community Randlev - Bjergager ( parishes Randlev and Bjerager )
- Rural community Saksild - Nølev ( parishes Saksild and Nølev )
- Rural community Tunø ( parish Tunø )
- Rural community Ørting - Falling ( parishes Ørting and Falling)
In the recent administrative reform of 2007, the Odder municipality was preserved in its entirety.
