Struer Municipality

On 1 January 2007 the new Struer municipality has arisen in the course of municipal reform as a new Danish municipality. It was formed from the "old " Struer municipality and the municipality Thyholm.

Struer municipality has a total population of 21,846 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2013 ) and an area of ​​246.20 km ². It is part of Jutland region.

At the commune beside the Thyholm include the islands located in the Limfjord Jegindø and Venø. With Thyholm on the North West Jutland, the community is connected to the combined road and railway bridge Oddesundbroen.
