Viborg Municipality

Viborg Municipality is a Danish municipality in Jutland. It was created on 1 January 2007 as part of local government reform by combining the "old" Viborg municipality with the former municipalities Bjerringbro, Fjends, Karup, Møldrup and Tjele, as well as the school district Hvam the former municipality Aalestrup.

Viborg Municipality has a total population of 94 333 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2013 ) and an area of ​​1408.90 km ². It is part of Jutland region. The seat of government is located in Viborg.

The numbers refer to the entire community. The local government reform in 2007, all the surrounding municipalities were merged with the old Viborg municipality. The deadline for information is always January 1.
