Skanderborg Municipality

Skanderborg Kommune is a Danish municipality in Jutland. It was created on 1 January 2007 as part of local government reform by combining the "old" Skanderborg municipality with the former municipalities Galten, Horning and Ry, and the eastern part of the former municipality Voerladegård Sogn Brædstrup.

Skanderborg municipality has a total population of 58 094 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2013 ) and an area of ​​416.90 km ². It is part of Jutland region. The seat of government is in Skanderborg.

Villages in the municipality
