House of Montdidier

Montdidier was a family of French nobility north, which appeared as Count of Montdidier first time mid-10th century.

History

Through marriage came the two lines of the family in the possession of the county and the county Dammartin Roucy, however, both the lack of male offspring in the 12th or 13th century were lost again.

The best known family members are Ebles II, who was active in the Spanish Reconquista to 1073, a son of the Norman prince Robert Guiscard, his sister Felicie, who married in 1076 King Sancho I of Aragon and Navarre, and ( in Germany ) whose son Hugo, a son of the Hohenstaufen Duke Frederick I of Swabia
