HradÄany (Nymburk District)
Hradcany ( German Council Chan, also Raczan ) is a municipality in the Czech Republic. It is located eleven kilometers east of Poděbrady and belongs to fulltext your real estates.
Geography
Hradcany is located on the right side of the Cidlina at the inflow Milešovický creek on the East Bohemian panel. Southeast is the pond Žehuňský fishpond and in the east the forest area Žehuňská obora. Immediately east of the village lies the nature reserve BAN. In the south of the railway line Velky Osek - Trutnov runs, there is the railway station " Dobsice nad Cidlinou ". To the east of the hill Na Hřebínku rises ( Banberg, 271 m) and west of the Oškobrh ( Wolfsberg, 285 m).
Neighboring towns are Opočnice in the north, Dlouhopolsko in the northeast, Na Kopičáku and Stara BAN in the east, in the southeast Choťovice, Žehuň, Dobsice and Libněves in the south, and Opolánky Oškobrh the southwest, Kolaje in the west and Srbce and Vrbice in the northwest.
History
Hradcany was built on a medieval fortress that was destroyed during the Hussite Wars by the troops of Emperor Sigismund. Instead of celebrations a gamekeeper's house, which was designated Račany arose.
Later, a village the road was in the hallways of the 1436 burned and extinct village mast Nice, south of the Black Mile created. The exact date of formation is not known, it is considered likely that Raczan has been created in the course of Raabisation after 1776. The corridors were divided into 30 to 40 Familianten. For the first time occupied the village is documented since 1777. 1820 Raczan consisted of 30 houses. A little later than Raczan the settlement Nová Ban was founded.
After the abolition of patrimonial Račany formed in 1850 a part of the community Hermann village in the district Poděbrady. 1878 was the community Račany. In 1890, the village of 75 houses and 443 inhabitants had. In 1919, the renaming of the community Račany in Hradcany was. 1949 Nová Ban, which had previously belonged to Žehuň, incorporated to Hradcany. Both spatial layers are grown together today. Since 1 January 1961, the municipality belongs to fulltext your real estates.
