Hübingen

Hübingen is a municipality in the Westerwald district in Rhineland- Palatinate. It belongs to the municipality Montabaur.

Geographical location

The community lies in the Westerwald south of Montabaur Nassau nature park. Hübingen is (also known as book mountain ), on the northern slope, a family holiday village located at the foot of Fußbergs. It was built in the 1970s. Through the town flows the Hohentalbach.

History

Hübingen was first documented in 1347.

Policy

The local council in Hübingen consists of twelve council members, who were elected at the municipal election held on 7 June 2009 by majority vote, and the honorary mayor as chairman.

Coat of arms

The two linden branches indicate the patron saint of the church, the holy Wendelinus, back. The sheaf symbolizes agriculture. In the lower part, the color halved wave beams that flow into the district Hübingen and place framing streams Gelbach and Hohentalbach represents the white and red colors indicate the almost 800 years of affiliation Hübingens towards the Electorate of Trier. The Green refers to the forest wealth of the community.

The nearest motorway junction is Montabaur on the A 3 Cologne - about ten kilometers from Frankfurt.

A large employer in the community is the family holiday village Hübingen.
