Hugh Last

Hugh Macilwain load ( born December 3, 1894 in Putney, † 25 October 1957 Strathmore, Mulberry Green, Harlow, Essex ) was a British historian.

His father William Isaac load was director of the Science Museum in South Kensington. Hugh load applied at the St Paul 's School under the influence of his teacher, T. Rice Holmes to Roman history. Load -authored with Henry Stuart Jones for the first edition The Cambridge Ancient History, the early Roman history.
