Hugo Gatti
Hugo Orlando Gatti ( born August 19, 1944 in Carlos Tejedor, Buenos Aires Province ) is a former Argentine footballer. He participated with the Argentine national football team at the FIFA World Cup 1966 and won at club level with Boca Juniors twice the Copa Libertadores and one Intercontinental Cup.
Career
Club career
Hugo Gatti came from the youth division of CA Atlanta, a smaller club from Argentina's capital Buenos Aires. In the biggest success in club history, winning the Copa Suecia 1960 Gattis began time in the youth of Atlanta, two years he was on was added to the senior level. Between 1967 and 1977 Hugo Gatti was used in eighteen countries playing the Argentine national soccer team. Without having first made an international match, he was appointed to the squad for the World Cup in England in 1966 by national coach Juan Carlos Lorenzo. In the tournament, he was not used and was always number 2 behind Antonio Roma. A year after the World Cup he made on August 13, 1967 his first international match against Paraguay. In the following years, Gatti was always used once again in the national team.
