IAAF World Championships in Athletics

The World Athletics Championships ( official name IAAF World Championships in Athletics ) are competitions that are conducted by the World IAAF since 1983 to determine the world champion in the individual track and field disciplines. They are the fifth largest sporting event in the world after the Olympic Games, the football World Cup, Rugby Union World Cup and the European Football Championship.
