Ice Hockey European Championship 1911
The second Hockey Championship provided a first. For the first time the games were played on artificial ice. The event took place from 15 to 17 February 1911, the Ice Palace in Berlin, Germany.
It again took part in 4 teams. In addition to the 1910 participating teams from Belgium, Switzerland and Germany played for the first time a representative of Bohemia with; it lacked defending Britain.
The EM freshman dominated the tournament and was superior to European champions. The foundation stone for the great Czech hockey tradition was laid.
