IFK Hässleholm

IFK Hässleholm is a Swedish sports club from Hässleholm. He is primarily known for its football team, which played several years in the second division.

History

IFK Hässleholm was founded in 1905. 1918 was the first team in the final of Kamratmästerskapen, losing to IFK Eskilstuna. The following year the final was reached again and this time the title was achieved by a win over IFK Stockholm.

At the foundation of the 1924 Allsvenskan IFK could not qualify and had to first compete unterklassig. 1936 reached the summit in the third-class Division 3 Here, the team was able to establish itself in the middle of the league. 1940 succeeded behind IFK Kristianstad and a year later behind IFK Trelleborg respectively the vice-championship. However, the team was unable to build on the successes and in 1943 was refused only occupies the last place in the table and thus sealed the renewed descent into Viertklassigkeit.

In 1964 IFK after 21 years of the resurgence in the third league and the team was able to lay down right in front of the table. However, in 1969 came the renewed slump and finished eleventh after the third place in the standings could still be occupied in the previous year, the renewed decline followed in the fourth league. Here the team remained until the re-emergence in 1972. According to a fifth place in 1973 IFK managed in the following season, the third league championship and went on for the first time in the second class Division 2.

In 1976, the team finished fourth, but then it went downhill again. 1978 was occupied by three points ahead of Trelleborg FF the last non relegation zone. As in sixth IFK missed the direct re-emergence and thus ended the season behind local rivals Hässleholms IF. A year later, the team was runner-up, it was two points of leaders Ifö / Bromölla IF. Also in 1984 the club was only second, Karlskrona AIF, however, had seven points ahead. 1986 then enter the relay victory, thus qualifying for the promotion games. There, the first leg at Tyresö FF was indeed lost with 2:3, but by a 1-0 win in the return leg to return to the second division could be celebrated on the away goals rule.

IFK Hässleholm found himself in the second division right in the relegation battle again. With one point ahead of relegated Kalmar FF but the league was managed. The second season of the Swedish House of Commons, however, was less successful. Only three victories and five draws meant at the end of last place in the table.

1991 IFK was initially behind Mjallby AIF in the spring series runner-up. In the autumn series, however, the club won the championship and thus qualified for the second division. There, the team played in the 1992 season against relegation. In the following season, however, the club knew how to surprise and qualified as runners-up for the ascent Games Allsvenskan. There you failed but with two 1:2 defeats at Degerfors IF. In 1994, the club was still third, then it went slowly downhill, before 1998 the decency renewed descent into the third league.

The third from last place in the third division in 2000 was occupied. This IFK had in the play-offs and ran against Höllvikens GIF. After a 1-1 draw on third place IFK lost the home match with 1:2 and had to go back after 28 years in the Viertklassigkeit. With 51 points from 22 games, the team managed to direct resurgence. Came in 2004, third place, on Mjallby AIF climbers were missing four points. Even a year later succeeded with four points behind on the table first, this time Bunkeflo IF, third place. This meant that IFK after a league reform - the number of seasons was halved from four to two - abolished the direct qualification for the new third league.

In 2006, however, the club finished the season as the second to last on the relegation zone and had to descend again into the fourth league. There was missed as seventh in the direct return. Subsequently, the team held in the league, until they defeated in 2010 in the relegation matches on away goals Kållered SK and descent into Fünftklassigkeit.
