Ilya Ilyin

Ilya Alexandrovich Ilyin (Russian Илья Александрович Ильин, Kazakh Илья Александрұлы Ильин; born 24 May 1988 in Kyzylorda, Kazakh SSR, USSR ) is a Kazakh weightlifter and Olympic champion.

Sporting career

Ilyin began his international career by participating in the Junior World Championship 2005 in Busan, where he ( 168.0 / 206.0 kg ) won gold in the light heavyweight division to 85 kg and 374.0 kg in the total. In the same year he also participated in the Senior World Cup and won the title here with a duel capacity of 386.0 kg ( 170.0 / 216.0 kg ).
