Jaime Zudañez is a province in the northwestern part of the Bolivian department of Chuquisaca.

The province takes its name in honor of the freedom fighter Jaime de Zudañez (1772-1832), who was born in this region.

Location

The province is one of the ten provinces in the department of Chuquisaca. It is bounded on the northwest by the Province Oropeza, on the west by the province Yamparáez, on the southwest by the Potosí Department in the south of the province Azurduy, on the east by the province Tomina, in the north- east by the province Belisario Boeto, and to the north by the Departamento Cochabamba.

The province extends approximately between 18 ° 28 'and 19 ° 38' south latitude and 64 ° 30 ' and 65 ° 04 ' west longitude, their extent from west to east is up to 55 km, from north to south 110 km.

Population

The population of the province Jaime Zudañez has risen in the past two decades by about a third:
