James Reilly (Irish politician)

James Reilly (Irish Seamas Ó Raghallaigh, born August 16, 1955) is an Irish Fine Gael politician.

Life

Reilly studied post-school medicine, and took after graduation to work as a General Practitioner on. In addition, he was also president until 2007 of the Irish Medical Organisation.

At the general election in 2007 as Deputy ( Teachta Dala ) in the lower house ( Dáil Éireann ), he was a candidate of the Fine Gael first elected and represents in this since the constituency of Dublin North. 2010 have been further his election as Vice - Chairman of the Fine Gael.

On 9 March 2011 the new Prime Minister ( Taoiseach ) Enda Kenny called him after the formation of the coalition of Fine Gael and Irish Labour Party to the health minister in the Irish government.
