History

The place was one of the so-called seven künischen villages, which included Wollaberg, Heindl shock, Rosenberg, Aßberg, reason and Hintereben. They were probably founded in the mid 15th century by the prince-bishops of Passau, was sold in 1487 to re- purchase to the Upper Austrian rule Rannariedl and repurchased only in 1765 by the Bishopric of Passau.
