Jaroslav Drobný [ jarɔ̹slav drɔ̹bni ː ] ( born October 18, 1979 in Počátky ) is a Czech football goalkeeper. Since 2010 he is at Hamburger SV in the German Bundesliga under contract.

Club career

Career start in the Czech Republic

Drobný began playing football at age six in 1985 with Slavoj Žirovnice. He went from there to 1993 České Budějovice, for whom he played until 1997. From there he moved in January 1998 for SK Chrudim and after half a year and nine games in the second Czech league in mid-1998 to the then second division side FC Vitkovice. There he came to seven missions in the first team. He joined in July 1999 back to České Budějovice.

Change after Athens and English League

After two years in the Gambrinus League of goalkeeper moved in 2001 to the Greek first division club Panionios Athens, where he spent four seasons long goalkeeper and came to a total of 101 league games.

In the summer of 2005, he was obliged by Fulham FC, where he signed a three-year contract until 2008. After the 2009/10 season left Drobný Hertha BSC and moved to Hamburger SV.
