Joey Tenute

Joey Tenute ( born April 2, 1983 in Hamilton, Ontario ) is a Canadian professional ice hockey player who plays for the Hamilton Bulldogs in the American Hockey League since January 2013.

Career

Tenute was originally selected by the New Jersey Devils in the NHL Entry Draft in 2003, but there was no contract. In 2005, he finally joined as a free agent with the Washington Capitals, where he was mainly in the AHL farm team, at the Hershey Bears, are used. In the season 2005/ 06 the Canadians could win the Calder Cup with Hershey.

For the 2008/09 season Tenute joined the Finnish SM- liiga for Jokerit Helsinki, where he was coached by his former Capitals coach Glen Hanlon. In June 2009, the center-forward signed a one-year contract with the Frankfurt Lions in the Deutsche Eishockey Liga. In the season 2010/11 he went for the Hamburg Freezers on the ice, before he returned to Finland in summer 2011 and a contract with Tappara Tampere signed. From November 2011, he played the record champion EC KAC in the Austrian Hockey League. In January 2013 he was engaged by the Hamilton Bulldogs of the American Hockey League.
