Julie Leach

Julie Marie Jones Leach ( born February 23 1957 in Pasadena, California ) is a former American canoeist and triathlete.

Career

Julie Leach was initially active in canoe racing and competed at the 1976 Olympic Games in Montreal, where she finished in seventh place in the One - kayak over 500 meters. Later, she turned to the triathlon in October 1982 and was winner of the Ironman Hawaii. It is the canoeist Bill Leach ( born 1946 ) married, who had started at the 1976 Olympic Games in the double kayak and with whom she has two children.

In 2001 she announced her retirement from professional sports.
