Kathleen McCartney is a former American triathlete.
She became famous when she Ironman Competition in Hawaii previously lying in leadership Julie Moss overhauled in 1982 shortly before the finish after it collapsed dehydrated and on all fours when at last runner crossed the finish line. This scene was broadcast live around the world and has inspired many athletes to participate in the Ironman competition.
