Junín Region

The Junín Region (Spanish: Región Junin, Wanka Quechua Hunin Shuyu, Southern Quechua Sunin suyu ) is a region in the Central Peruvian Andes. Covering an area of ​​44 197 km2 1,133,183 people ( 1996). The capital is Huancayo in the valley of Mantaro.

Geography

The region is very mountainous, the highest peak is 5,768 meters with the Pariacaca.
