Kardemir D. Ç. Karabükspor
Kardemir Karabükspor (also Demir Çelik Kardemir Karabükspor ) is a Turkish sports club based in the homonymous province Karabük whose only professional club he is. It was founded by the union of Karabük Gençlikspor and Demir Çelik Spor 1969. The games are played in the 15,000 -seat Necmettin - Şeyhoğlu Stadium. Since 2010 Karabükspor plays in Süper Lig
Karabükspor in the Süper Lig
Already in the 1993/94 season played Kardemir Karabükspor in the highest Turkish league, but rose in the first year off again after conceding a 2-1 against Zeytinburnuspor in stoppage time. In 1997, the team managed to re- promotion to the Süper Lig, rose after two years, however, as Table again. In 2010 they managed to climb again in the top flight. In the first season of the 9th place in the table has been reached.
The season 2011/2012 started less enjoyable for the club. After 10 games you was on the 16th place in the table and so they parted from the coach Bulent Korkmaz and committed, who had also trained the Turkish giants, among others. First, however, no improvement could be detected, because the club got only 4 points in the next 7 games and thus further was on the 16th Place. On 18 Round one even fell to 17th place, but rose after the next game on the 16th Place. In game days 19, 20, 21, 22, the club went on to score 6 points, which were followed by a series of games unbeaten. For the next 6 games they picked sensational 16 of the possible 18 points and Karabükspor was already in 14th place in the table. On the 29th matchday of the club Bursaspor were beaten 3-0. In the last 5 games they lost only one game and went on to score 10 points. The season was finished on the 12th place in the table and with a total of 32 points in the second half it was after Galatasaray and Fenerbahce Istanbul 's third- best team in the second half. In the first half of the season 2012/2013 on 12 Matchday scored a sensational 3-1 victory at league leaders Galatasaray.
In addition Karabükspor succeeded in the 2011/2012 season of the semi-finals in the Turkish Cup, but then it was eliminated by the eventual champions Fenerbahce Istanbul. The semi-final is the biggest success in club history until today. On 9 May 2012, the team parted surprisingly Bülent Korkmaz coach. When his successor Michael Skibbe has been committed, which was however discharged in November, 2012. Since then, the team of Mesut Bakkal is trained.
