Katalin Szőke

Katalin Szoke [ kɒtɒlin sø kɛ ː ] ( born August 17, 1935 in Budapest ) is a former Hungarian swimmer.

At the age of 16, she was a double Olympic gold medalist at the 1952 Olympics in Helsinki. She won both the 100 m freestyle and the 4 × 100 m freestyle relay the Hungarian team. At the European Championships 1954, she was also able to win the title over 100m freestyle. In 1985, she was inducted into the Hall of Fame of the international swimming sport.
