Al - Khartoum (Arabic الخرطوم Khartoum, DMG al - Hartum; alternative spelling al - Khartoum ) is a state in Sudan. It has an area of 22,142 km ² and about 5.8 million inhabitants. It includes the state capital of Khartoum and its surroundings.
