Kim Un-guk
Kim Un - guk ( born October 28, 1988 in Pyongyang ) is a North Korean weightlifter. It was 2012 Olympic champion at featherweight.
Career
Kim Un - guk is a member of the Sports Club on April 25, Pyongyang and starts at a size of 1.58 meters in the Featherweight, the weight category to 62 kg body weight.
In September 2010, he was employed by the North Korean Weightlifting Association at the World Championships in Antalya. In the Asia Cup 2011 in Tongling / China again won Zhang Jie. With a duel capacity of 317 kg ( 147-170 ), he referred Kim Un - guk, the only 306 kg ( 140-166 ) raised to the 2nd place. Also in the 2011 World Championships in Paris, Zhang Jie proved to be the stronger. He managed there in a duel 321 kg ( 145-176 ) and landed in front of Kim Un - guk, who came in a duel to 320 kg ( 150-170 ). In Un - guk had in this competition after successful 170 kg in pushing two failed attempts with 173 kg, which cost him the world title in a duel.
Clashed Kim Un - guk and Zhang Jie also at the 2012 Olympics in London. This time proved to be the Koreans as the clearly better lifter. He scored in London with 327 kg ( 153-174 ) a new world record in a duel, for which he won the gold medal. Zhang Jie was in London not in good shape. He arrived there with only each one valid trial in the snatch only 314 kg ( 140-174 ) in a duel. With this performance, he even fell out of the medals, finishing in 4th place ungrateful because Óscar Figueroa from Colombia 317 kg ( 140-177 ) and Eko Yuli Irawan of Indonesia, also with 317 kg ( 145-172 ) were still ahead of him.
In June 2013 was also Asia featherweight champion Kim Un - guk in Astana. He submitted to a duel output of 315 kg ( 145-170 ) to secure victory in front Farchat Charki from Kazakhstan, which reached 303 kg ( 138-165 ). At the World Championships in 2013 in Wrocław China established a new athlete. It was Chen Lijun. Kim Un - guk scored in Wrocław in a duel 320 kg ( 150-170 ). Chen Lijun but reached 321 kg ( 146-175 ) and sent the North Koreans in order to 2nd place. The main reason was again that Kim Un - guk had two failed attempts in pushing 173 kg, while Chen Lijun met with 175 kg and thus its backlog caught up from the tearing.
