Kobylice

Kobylice ( German Kobilitz ) is a municipality in the Czech Republic. It is located seven kilometers east of Nový Bydžov and belongs to Okres Hradec Králové.

Geography

Kobylice is located on the East Bohemian panel in the headwaters of streams Rasovsky creek and Stepansky creek. In the surroundings of the village are several large ponds. To the north lies the forest Svidník and south of the Praseker forest.

Neighboring towns are Opatov, Janatov and Lodín in the north, Tůně in the northeast, Staré Nechanice in the east, and Stýskal Kunčice to the southeast, and Zvíkov Budín in the south, and Zdechovice Prasek in the southwest and Řehoty and Králíky in the northwest.

History

The first written mention of the village belonging to the reign Bidschow took place in 1393rd owner of the place were, among others in the 16th century, the lords of Pernštejna, of which it acquired in 1548 by Václav Sokol Leskovice. 1552 bought Erazim Zumerfeld the village. In the Thirty Years' War Kobylice went out.

Emperor Ferdinand II gave the desert village in 1650 Johann Freiherr von Cordon. He sold the property in 1686 to the Benedictine monastery in Braunau. The Order populated the village with German settlers and built the north Vorwerk Neuhof. 1786 was created by parceling the corridors of Neuhofes the settlement Opatov.

After the abolition of patrimonial Kobilitz / Kobylice formed with the hamlets Opatow and Chmelovice 1850 a municipality in the district of Nový Bydžov. 1902 was the community including the two districts consisting of 65 houses and 292 inhabitants had. Chmelovice broke up in 1911 going on and formed its own municipality. 1940 lived 210 people in 44 houses in the community. 1961 Kobylice was incorporated into Prasek and assigned to the Okres Hradec Králové. Since 1992, the community is again.
