Kojatín

Kojatín ( German Kojatín ) is a municipality in the Czech Republic. It is located ten kilometers east of Třebíč and belongs to Okres Třebíč.

Geography

Kojatín located in the valley of the brook Vesnik in Krischanauer Bergland ( Křižanovská Highlands ) in the south of the Bohemian- Moravian Highlands. In the village are the ponds Kojatínský rybnik and Mrhovec. East of the railway line from Náměšť nad Oslavou runs to Velké Meziříčí, the station Kojatín located one kilometer outside the town. South of the village, the dome rises Na krochotech (491 m).

Neighboring towns are Doubrava, Spálený Dvůr and Budišov in the north, Holeje in the northeast, Pyšel in the east, in the southeast Pozďatín, Smrk in the south, and Hostákov Opatský Mlýn in the southwest, Valdíkov in the west and Nárameč in the northwest.

History

The first written mention of Kojytín took place in 1104 in the founding document of the monastery Třebíč. In 1545 the place burned down completely and remained uninhabited. As Vratislav of Pernštejna 1556 the estate was Třebíč enroll in the Country table, were the corridors of the deserted village Kojatín it. The re-colonization began in 1712.

After the abolition of patrimonial Kojatín formed in 1850 a district of the municipality in the district Pozďatín Třebíč. In 1964 the village was umgemeindet after Smrk. Since 1990 Kojatín is the first time in its history, its own political community.
