Krasnogvardeyskoye, Republic of Adygea

Krasnogwardeiskoje (Russian Красногвардейское; Adyghe Красногвардейскэ ) is a village ( selo ) in the Republic of Adygea (Russia) with 9459 inhabitants (as of October 14, 2010 ).

Geography

The site extends over flour than 8 km along the southeastern shore of Krasnodar reservoir of the Kuban, about 70 km as the crow northwest of the Republic capital Maikop.

Krasnogwardeiskoje is the administrative seat of the Rajons Krasnogwardeiski and seat of the rural community Krasnogwardeiskoje selskoje posselenije to which apart from the village nor the Aul Adami and the hamlet ( Chutor ) Chumakov belong.

History

The town was founded under the name Nikolajewskoje 1884. In the 1930s, the village was incorporated Solowjowskoje. For November 11, 1961 Nikolajewskoje was combined with the village Ivanovskoe and received as Rajon its present name, Krasnaya Gvardija, Russian for Red Guard.

Traffic

East of the city runs past the R253 regional road, which connects the town nearly 10 km north-east location Ust- Labinsk in the neighboring Krasnodar region with Belorechensk and Maikop. In Ust- Labinsk is also the nearest railway terminal to the track Kawkasskaja ( Kropotkin ) - Krasnodar.
