Křečkov

Křečkov ( German Kretschkow ) is a municipality in the Czech Republic. It is located four kilometers north of Poděbrady and belongs to fulltext your real estates.

Geography

Křečkov is located on the left bank of the Sansky kanál on the East Bohemian panel. To the east lie the Blatowiesen and in the southwest of Mineral Wells Poděbradka. To the northwest is the desert Postal Buštěhrad.

Neighboring towns are Rašovice in the north, Kouty in the northeast, Blato in the east, Pátek in the southeast, Poděbrady - Žižkovo Předměstí, Koutecká čtvrť, Malé Zboží and Velké Zboží in the south, Chvalovice and Kovanice the southwest, Zálabí and Nymburk in the west and Budiměřice in the northwest.

History

The first written mention of the village belonging to Poděbrady rule was in 1345, when Hynek of Lichtenburg Castle Podiebrad got to Lehn. Around 1450 was created under George of Podiebrad as water supply and main tributary for the rule Poděbrady associated pond Blato the Sansky kanál. North of Křečkov the stately Borwald and on Blato was the Poděbrady pheasant.

At the end of the 18th century was the draining of the eastern of Křečkov largest Bohemian fishpond.
