Ksenia Makarova

Xenija Olegovna Makarova (Russian Ксения Олеговна Макарова, Eng. Transcription Kseniya Makarova ;) (born 20 December 1992, Saint Petersburg ) is a Russian figure skater who starts in a single run.

She is the daughter of former European champions in pair skating Larissa Selezneva and Oleg Makarov. With six years Makarova Figure skating began to train. She started briefly as a teenager for the USA and from 2007 for Russia. However, it still lives in Newburgh in upstate New York. Her parents emigrated from Russia with her when she was eight years old. Xenija Makarova trained in Hackensack (New Jersey) and also in St. Petersburg.

2010 Xenija Makarova was Russian champion and made his debut at major international championships. At the European Championships she finished ninth in the World Championships and eighth at the Olympic Winter Games in Vancouver tithe.

In 2011 it was enough for Makarova only to fifth place at the national championships. At the European Championships but improved compared to the previous year, finishing in fourth place. An improvement she also managed at the World Championships, where she finished seventh in front of his home crowd.
