Kut Chum District

Amphoe Kut Chum ( in Thai อำเภอ กุดชุม ) is a district ( Amphoe - administrative district ) in the province of Yasothon. The Yasothon Province is located in the eastern part of northeast Thailand, the so-called Isaan.

Geography

Neighbouring districts ( from northeast clockwise): Amphoe Loeng Nok Tha, the, Thai Charoen, Pa Tio, Mueang Yasothon and Sai Mun in the province of Yasothon, and to the Amphoe Nong Phok Selaphum and the province of Roi Et

History

The village Kut Chum was founded in 1912. A small district ( King Amphoe ) Kut Chum was established on 1 August 1961 by the four Tambon Non Pueai, Phai ( which Amphoe Sai Mun came in 1978 ), Phon Ngan and Kammaet were separated from Amphoe Yasothon. On July 17, 1963, the small district was promoted to Amphoe of Ubon Ratchathani province. When the province of Yasothon Ubon Ratchathani province was separated and independent, Kut Chum was one of the tambon, which were assigned to the new province.

Management

Amphoe Kut Chum is divided into nine municipalities ( tambon), which in turn in 125 villages ( Muban ) are divided.

There is a small town ( thesaban tambon) in the district:

  • Kut Chum, consisting of parts of the tambon Kut Chum and non Pueai.

In addition, there are nine " Tambon Administrative Organizations" (TAO, องค์การ บริหาร ส่วน ตำบล - administrative organizations) in the district.
