Loeng Nok Tha District

Amphoe Loeng Nok Tha ( in Thai อำเภอ เลิงนกทา ) is a district ( Amphoe - administrative district ) in the province of Yasothon. The Yasothon Province is located in the eastern part of northeast Thailand, the so-called Isaan.

Geography

Neighbouring districts (from north clockwise): Amphoe Nong Sung, the, Nikhom Kham Soi and Don Tan of Mukdahan Province, at the Amphoe Chanuman and Senangkhanikhom Amnat Charoen Province, Amphoe Thai Charoen the Kut Chum and in the province of Yasothon, and Amphoe Nong Phok the province of Roi Et

Loeng Nok Tha is located about 69 km northeast of the Amphoe Mueang Yasothon and about 600 km north east of Bangkok.

N history

Loeng Nok Tha was ( King Amphoe ) was established on September 1, 1937 initially as a small district under the administration of Amphoe Mueang Amnat Charoen of Ubon Ratchathani Province. There was the time from the three Tambon Kut Chiang Mi, Bung Kha Som and Pho. On November 1, 1947 Loeng Nok Tha was promoted to a Amphoe of Ubon Ratchathani province. As in 1972, the new Yasothon province was created Loeng Nok Tha was one of the original six districts.

Management

Amphoe Loeng Nok Tha is divided into ten municipalities ( tambon) organized, in turn into 143 villages ( Muban ) are divided.

There are seven small towns ( thesaban tambon) in the district:

  • Loeng Nok Tha ( Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล เลิงนกทา ), consisting of parts of the tambon Sawat
  • Sam Yaek ( Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล สาม แยก ), consisting of parts of the tambon Sam Yaek,
  • Bung Kha ( Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล บุ่ง ค้า ), consisting of the entire Tambon Bung Kha
  • Hong Saeng ( Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล ห้อง แซง ), consisting of the whole tambon Hong Saeng
  • Sammakkhi ( Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล สามัคคี ), consisting of the whole tambon Sammakkhi,
  • Si Kaeo ( Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล ศรี แก้ว ), consisting of the whole tambon Si Kaeo
  • Kut Chiang Mi ( Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล กุด เชียง หมี ), consisting of the whole tambon Kut Chiang Mi

There are also five " Tambon Administrative Organizations" (TAO, องค์การ บริหาร ส่วน ตำบล - administrative organizations) in the district.
