Mueang Amnat Charoen District

Amphoe Mueang Amnat Charoen ( Thai อำเภอ เมือง อำนาจเจริญ ) is a district ( Amphoe - administrative district ) in the province of Amnat Charoen. The Amnat Charoen province is located in the northeast region of Thailand, the Isaan. The capital of the province Amnat Charoen Amnat Charoen is also called.

Geography

Amnat Charoen is located in the extreme east of the Isan on the border with Laos and is located about 580 kilometers from Bangkok. Neighboring districts (from north clockwise): Amphoe the Senangkhanikhom, Pathum Ratchawongsa, Phana, Lue Amnat and Hua Taphan Amnat Charoen Province and Amphoe Pa Tio and Thai Charoen Province Yasothon.

Traffic

The county is traversed by two highways:

  • Highway 212: North-South crossing, connects Mueang Amnat Charoen the county with Laos and Nakhon Phanom in the north and in the south of Ubon Ratchathani
  • Highway 202: East-West crossing connects Mueang Amnat Charoen with Yasothon in the west and in the east Khemmarat.

History

Amnat Charoen The city was under King Rama III. the status of a city and was initially managed by Nakhon Khemarat, then later from Ubon Ratchathani from. Amnat Charoen was January 12, 1993 the capital of the newly founded province, which was separated from the province of Ubon Ratchathani. Together with the provinces of Nong Bua Lamphu and Amnat Charoen Sakaeo is one of the three last-formed provinces in Thailand.

Management

Amphoe Mueang Amnat Charoen is divided into 19 communes ( tambon), which further into 212 villages ( Muban ) are divided.

The city ( Mueang thesaban ) Amnat Charoen ( Thai: เทศบาล เมือง อำนาจเจริญ ) includes parts of the Tambon Bung.

In the district there are still five small towns ( Tambon thesaban ):

  • Nam Plik ( Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล น้ำ ปลีก ), consisting of parts of the tambon Nam Plik,
  • Na Yom ( Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล นาย ม ), consisting of the whole tambon Na Yom
  • Kai Kham ( Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล ไก่ คำ ), consisting of the whole tambon Kai Kha
  • Wang Na ( Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล นา วัง ), consisting of the whole tambon Na Wang,
  • Na Mo Ma ( Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล นา หมอ ม้า ), consisting of parts of the tambon Na Mo Ma.

There are also 15 " Tambon Administrative Organizations" (TAO, องค์การ บริหาร ส่วน ตำบล - administrative organizations) in the district.
