Leoni AG, headquartered in Nuremberg, is a leading manufacturer in the product groups of wires, cables and wiring systems. These commodity groups are divided into two divisions " Wire & Cable Solutions " (formerly " Wire and Cable " ) and " Wiring Systems Division " (formerly " Wiring Systems "). The roots of Leoni to the year 1569 back as Anthoni Fournier opened a workshop in Nuremberg, produced what Leonische goods.

2012 Leoni sales of 3,809 (2011: 3,701, 2010: 2,956 ) million euros and an EBIT of 235.8 (2011: 237.14, 2010: 130.72 ) reported million euros. Consolidated net income was 156.02 (2011: 155.96, 2010: 67.25 ) million euros.

The Leoni AG shares are included in the MDAX and are one hundred percent free float.

History

Presence

Leoni was able to take over the company Kerpen GmbH & Co. KG and Studer Cables AG ( Switzerland ) in 2006. In May 2007, Leoni bought 80 % shares in the silicone specialist Silitherm.
