Ligota Bialska

Ellguth (Polish Ligota Bialska ) is a town in Upper Silesia. Ellguth located in the municipality Zülz ( Biała) in Prudnicki powiat (district Neustadt OS) in the Polish Opole Voivodeship.

Geography

Ellguth located two kilometers northeast of the municipal center Zülz, 13 kilometers northeast of the county town of Prudnik ( Neustadt OS) and 34 kilometers southwest of the voivodship Opole.

Neighboring towns of Ellguth are in the northwest Ottok ( Otoki ), in the north Ernestine mountain ( Górka Prudnicka ), in the northeast Radstein ( Radostynia ), to the east Krobusch ( Krobusz ), in the south of the city Zülz and southwest Waschelwitz ( Wasiłowice ).

History

The town was first mentioned in 1383.

In the plebiscite in Upper Silesia on March 20, 1921 389 voters voted to remain in Germany and 109 for Poland. Ellguth remained with the German Reich. 1933 lived 614 inhabitants in the village. 1939, the place had 579 inhabitants. By 1945, the place was in the district of Neustadt OS.

In 1945 the previously German place under Polish administration and renamed Ligota Bialska and joined the Silesian Voivodeship. In 1950, the city came to Opole Voivodeship. In 1999 the place to powiat Prudnicki. On 6 March 2006 German was in the community Zülz who belongs Ellguth, introduced as a second official language. 2008, the City also received the official German place names Ellguth.
