Lonny Baxter

Lonny Leroy Baxter ( born January 27, 1979 in Silver Spring, Maryland ) is an American professional basketball player. Last Baxter in 2012 played in the Russian PBL for BK Yenisey Krasnoyarsk.

Career as a player

USA (1997-2006)

Baxter played from 1998 to 2002 for the team from the University of Maryland, College Park, with whom he won the 2002 NCAA Basketball Championship. A year earlier he had occupied with the selection of the best college players in the United States in the 2001 Universiade in Beijing in third place and won the bronze medal.

After winning the NCAA championship his four-year collegiate career was over and the NBA Draft 2002, he was selected in the second round by the Chicago Bulls.
